Libya medyasının radyodaki ve ekrandaki güçlü sesi olan Salem, birkaç yıl sonra “ezana hayat veren Bilal(ra)’ın” sesi olacaktı.

İslam sinemasının, 14 asır öncesine götüren en etkili eserlerinden birisi olan Çağrı’nın çekimleri başladı ve Libyalı Ali Ahmed Salem, Bilal (ra) rolü için seçildi. Ali Ahmed Salem, Hz.Bilal(ra)’nın işkenceye uğradığı, onu dininden döndürmeye çalışanlara “Ahad! Ahad!” diyerek karşılık verdiği ana hayat verdi. Bununla birlikte, filmin izleyicilerinin, belki de en çok hatırasında kalan “ilk ezanın okunuşu” sahnesini canlandırdı. İlk mescidin yapımı sahnesinde Medine’nin sıcak havasında taş taşıyanlardan biriydi Salem. Ali Ahmed Salem’in, Müslümanca sinemanın en güçlü örneklerinin gerek kamera önünde ve gerekse kamera arkasında yer alışı, birçok kesimin dikkatinden kaçmamıştı. Kıymetli çalışmalarının akabinde, 2017 Temmuz ayında Arap Bilgi Bakanlığı Konseyi tarafından, Arap dünyasının en etkili 48 isminden birisi olarak ödül aldı.
Merhum Ali Ahmed Salem’in aldığı bu kıymetli rol ve yaptığı çalışmalar, bizlere ezanı, ilk Bilal (ra)’dan duyduğumuzu ve ezanı ilk Bilal (ra) ile sevdiğimizi hatırlamamıza vesile oldu. “O kelimeyi” bulmak için verdiği mücadeleyi saygı ile anarak, Allah’tan rahmet diliyoruz.
